About this Volunteer Opportunity:
For nearly a decade Black Lives Matter has been a movement we are all familiar with along with supporting the Asian American Pacific Islander community with safety measures and respect.
BLM and AAPI have now become buzz-words in the media, yet, at So Fit Sofia Fund that’s exactly the type of individuals we serve and the communities our organisation is committed to making a difference within those niche underrepresented families.
MISSION: The So Fit Sofia Fund aims to help empower individuals in the Pasifika + Black communities, as well as, indigenous territories facing socio-economic needs in order to achieve a stable lifestyle with mental-health as priority.
We will accomplish this mission through several structured programs that educate, lead and develop the life skills needed to have a healthy mental livelihood.
VISION: End the silence and stigma on mental health disorders in Pacific Islander + Black households.
A valued life will be lived abundantly in good health. This can only be achieved through an equally balanced lifestyle in being Physically, Mentally, Spiritually, and Financially FIT.

The - So Fit Sofia Fund, will host an Open Bar Benefit - liquor sponsored by Truly Hard Seltzer - where initial donors can come celebrate the official launch of our mission by drinking responsibly along with getting informed of helpful ways to assist others or oneself with tools to support a lifestyle that is mentally, financially, physically and spiritually stable.
Volunteers: will assist the event with providing hand sanitiser and temperature checks for attendees, pass-out leaflets to attendees, throughout the event conduct quick 10-15min discussions with attendees about mental health and ways to support the Black, Pasifika and Indigenous diaspora. Distribute prizes to the winning guests. Volunteers will also have access to partake in the Open Bar as well. Environment is meant to be a relaxed fun time together for a great cause.

Safety Measures:
Volunteers may wear masks and keep social distance during the event.
Any person that is not fully vaccinated will be encouraged to wear masks.
Hand sanitiser and disinfecting wipes will be provided.
Note:
We are looking for 80 volunteers, any more will be placed on the waitlist and we will reach out if we have space to include those on the waiting list.
